Driver Who Returned Gesture Shot
A 23-year-old Moses Lake man was shot in the face Wednesday after he returned an offensive finger gesture to a driver on state Highway 17, Grant County sheriff’s deputies said.
Clyde A. Crow Jr. underwent surgery at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, where he was listed Thursday in serious but stable condition.
Deputies said Crow was driving near Grape Drive about 5:15 p.m. when a car pulled up next to him. The drivers, who knew each other, “gave each other the finger,” Undersheriff Max Healy said.
A passenger in the other car fired multiple shots at Crow, hitting him in the face. Crow told deputies he didn’t know the gunman.
No arrests have been made.
