Naturopathic Clinic May Gain Approval
A clinic offering naturopathic medicine and other alternative therapies could be open by next year under a plan being considered by the King County Council.
The council’s agenda Monday includes a proposal to direct County Executive Gary Locke to include a budget and potential funding sources for the clinic, which would be managed by John Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine, in the county’s health budget.
Cost estimates range from $1 million to $2 million for the two-year pilot project.
Treatment methods could include massage, acupuncture and herbal remedies in addition to conventional procedures and medications.
