Arthur J. and Anita L. Kinkel, Spokane, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary with a family gathering.

Hosts for the surprise event were their children and spouses: Neil and Bonnie Kinkel, Spokane, and Judith and Ken Bosworth, Anacortes, Wash.

Married Jan. 10, 1936, in Wisconsin, the couple has eight grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
