Ken Spiering’s Run Poster Selected As No. 1 In Nation

Compiled By Mary Beth Bonner

Ken Spiering’s 1994 Bloomsday Run poster was selected as the No. 1 poster in the nation in the annual Runner’s World Magazine contest, and David Olin’s design for the ‘94 Bloomsday T-shirt took second place.

Both are displayed in the magazine’s February issue, which lists the top four selections in each category.

This year, 372 T-shirts and 51 posters were submitted by event organizers around the country, the highest number in the competition’s eight-year history.

Bloomsday posters and T-shirts have been recognized in past Runner’s World contests: Spiering’s 1993 poster was awarded second place, and the 1987 T-shirt won first-place honors.
