Technically it’s a rematch. In reality, North Idaho College will face a revamped Ricks wrestling team tonight at 7:30 in Christianson Gym.

NIC defeated Ricks 24-9 earlier this season, but Cardinals coach John Owen said Ricks will have different wrestlers in seven of the 10 weights. Granted, some are just shifts up or down in the various weights, but Owen still has cause for worry.

“Ricks is always tough,” Owen said.

Top matches, which should impact seeding in the upcoming regional tournament, figure to be at 118, 134, 142, 167 and heavyweight, Owen said.

At 142, NIC’s Bob Presta will try to avenge an earlier pin by Mitch Stevens of Ricks.

Dunn in at UI: Former standout receiver Kasey Dunn has been hired as an assistant by new Idaho football coach coach Chris Tormey.

Dunn will be a restricted earnings coach in charge of defensive backs.
