Eastwood Receives Production Award
Clint Eastwood has been named the recipient of the Irving Thalberg Memorial Award, given by the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to “creative producers whose bodies of work reflect a consistently high quality of motion picture production.”
For Eastwood, the award follows increasing critical recognition for his work behind the camera, culminating with his winning Oscars as both director and producer for Warner Bros.’ “Unforgiven,” which scooped up four Oscars in 1992.
