Now There’s The Rub

Georgia-Pacific Corp. introduced Thursday a new type of paper designed to help banks verify checks and discourage forgeries.

The backs of checks printed on the paper rubs off to reveal a message or logo. The paper was developed with Nocopi Technologies Inc. of Wayne, Pa., a maker of document security products.

The paper is available in made-to-order rolls, Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific said.
