Police in Milan today arrested a 19-yearold man suspected of fatally knifing a soccer fan in Genoa.

The stabbing sparked a rampage outside the stadium and led to cancellation of the next round of professional soccer games.

After a meeting on how to respond to the death, the presidents of the soccer federation and Olympic committee decided to suspend all sporting events this Sunday, when the professional soccer league plays, the ANSA news agency said.
