Man With Knife Robs Cabbie

From Staff Reports

A man with a knife robbed a cab driver in downtown Spokane on Sunday, police said.

The robber hailed the cab in front of the Coach House Restaurant on the 1100 block of West First about 10:15 p.m. and asked to go to Browne’s Addition.

He told the driver to stop at the 300 block of South Elm, brandished a butcher knife and demanded money. The man left on foot with an unknown amount of cash, police said. His description was not immediately available.

The driver was not injured.
