Rob Schneider Hits Big Screen With Stallone

Rob Schneider recently phoned friend and former “Saturday Night Live” colleague Adam Sandler and left this funny and prophetic message on Sandler’s answering machine:

“Feel that wind? That was the sound of me going by you.”

The friends are naturally competitive, and they love to compare careers and salaries, but this message was no joke. While Sandler’s movie career is threatening to self-destruct, Schneider’s is on a roll, thanks to a movie-stealing performance in “Judge Dredd.”

One scene, in which Schneider mimics Stallone’s voice to his face, is so memorable that the studio is playing it up big in the film’s trailer. “Obviously this was dangerous territory,” Schneider said. “After a couple of takes, when I was really laying it on thick, Sly turned to me and said, ‘There are a couple of scenes later where I’m throwing you around. Keep that in mind.”’
