Anderson Likely Has Qualified To Run For County Commissioner
Spokane City Councilman Chris Anderson apparently has qualified to run for county commissioner as an independent candidate.
Anderson held a state-mandated nominating convention at his home Friday, and 57 registered voters from District 1 - more than twice the number required - signed his petition.
Anderson has not yet had the signatures validated by county Auditor William Donahue, but still has a few days to do so.
District 1 generally is the area north of Wellesley Avenue to Pend Oreille County. Anderson will run against George Marlton, John Roskelley and Martin Burnette in September.
