Regal Discovery Prevails

Compiled From Wire Services

Todd Kabel rode 9-1 chance Regal Discovery to a 1-length victory in the 136th Queen’s Plate, one of Canada’s premier races, at Woodbine.

Regal Discovery ran 1 miles in 2:03 and paid $20.10 to win. Freedom Fleet, part of the favored three-horse entry, ran second. Mt. Sassafras was third. Kabel had been bumped off Freedom Fleet by New York’s top jockey, Mike Smith.
