Road Projects To Delay Motorists

Motorists will find delays and detours at two road projects in Kootenai County in coming weeks.

Lakes Highway District road crews began repaving Scarcello Road between state Highway 41 and Ramsey Road a week ago. The work should be done by Sept. 16. The two-mile strip will be closed to traffic from Aug. 1-12, and motorists will be routed onto Diagonal Road.

On Monday, crews began widening English Point Road south of Lancaster Road near Hayden and will continue work until Sept. 7. The road will be open, but motorists can expect delays.
