Academy Appointments Received By Area Students

The following high school graduates have received appointments to service academies:

The following students have been named to Central Washington University’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, a national academic honor society: Stacie Kudamatsu, Cheney, John Thomas Bolla, East Wenatchee, Charles Short, Grand Coulee, Ryan Verhulp, Kennewick, Nancy Swanda-Cain, Pasco, Jeanette Larson, Quincy, Wash., and Paul O’Connor, Wenatchee.

Takashi Kozuka, Nagoya, Japan, and a May graduate of Gonzaga University, has had his poem, “Prelude,” published by The National Library of Poetry in its book “Songs on the Wind.”
