Mike McLaughlin of Waterloo, N.Y., found Victory Lane on the Busch Grand National circuit, winning the GM Goodwrench-Delco Battery 200 at Dover (Del.) Downs International Speedway.
Spokane’s Chad Little finished ninth in a Ford from the 27th position, earning $7,895.
Third was Ricky Craven in a Chevrolet, a lap down, followed by the Chevy of Jason Keller and the Ford of Dale Jarrett.
The race was slowed by caution six times for 35 laps, lowering the average speed to 102.887 mph.
The race was the first over the new concrete surface at the high-banked Monster Mile. It was run with scuffed tires supplied by Winston Cup teams which today will contest the Miller Genuine Draft 500.
There were 11 lead changes among eight drivers. Doug Heveron, who went 99 laps at one point without a tire change, set the pace for 56 laps.
