Twin Girls Found Dead Inside Sweltering Car

Compiled From Wire Services

Three-year-old twins were found dead Thursday in a car parked in sweltering heat outside their suburban Atlanta apartment.

The girls, who had been missing several hours, may have died from heat exhaustion, authorities said. The high Thursday was 94.

It was not immediately clear why the children were in the car or who owned the car. The girls’ mother had reported them missing.

College Park police were investigating Thursday night and would not immediately provide further details.
