Lowry, Staff Attend Harassment Session
Gov. Mike Lowry and about 25 staff members received training this week on ways to detect and eliminate sexual harassment on the job.
The eight-hour session on Monday included discussion, roleplaying and videotapes to show what constitutes sexual harassment and what makes a “hostile workplace.”
The training was conducted by Jan Salisbury of Boise.
“The governor thought the training was very informative. He was very pleased with it,” said Jordan Dey, Lowry’s press secretary.
Earlier this year, Lowry was accused by Susanne Albright, a former deputy press secretary, of sexual harassment.
An investigator found that Lowry had been insensitive but said there was insufficient evidence to make a case for sexual harassment.
