Teens Cited After Bullet Hits Trainman
Two teenagers target shooting in their back yard have been cited for reckless endangerment after a stray bullet hit a crewman on a passing train.
The unidentified man was hit in the ankle Thursday as the southbound Burlington Northern freight train rumbled through Winlock, a railroad spokesman said.
The train stopped in Vader and the wounded man was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.
An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were cited for reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm within city limits, said Winlock Police Chief Mac McPherson.
