Police Chase Teen Through Neighborhood

A Spokane teenager led police on a high-speed chase through a residential neighborhood late Friday night.

Police said Lyle Humphrey III, 19, of 3124 E. Baldwin, reached speeds of 50 miles per hour shortly before midnight and stopped his car near Crestline and Bridgeport. There, he set out on foot.

Humphrey climbed fences as three officers chased him through yards, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

After police caught him, Humphrey was charged with a variety of traffic counts, including driving with a suspended license and attempting to elude police.
