Man’s Body Pulled From River
Authorities pulled the body of a man from the Spokane River on Sunday.
Two teenage boys hiking along the river bank near the 2200 block of West Falls Avenue spotted the body about 5 p.m. It was caught in some branches about 15 feet from the north shore. They called police. Members of the Spokane County Search and Rescue Team brought the body to shore.
Spokane County Coroner Dexter Amend said the body is badly deteriorated so authorities will have to rely on dental records to identify him.
Amend is asking for the public’s help in locating the man’s family and for information about his death.
