Nau Gets Women’s Golf

In a move toward equalizing sports opportunities for men and women, Northern Arizona will add women’s golf to its sports program this fall, athletics director Steve Holton announced.

By the time the Big Sky Conference makes women’s golf a core sport in fall 1996, Northern Arizona’s team will have had a full season’s experience, he added.

The addition of golf program is the eighth sport for women against seven for men. xxxx
