Service Honorary At WSU Selects New Members
Washington State University’s chapter of Mortar Board national senior scholastic and service honorary has selected new members into its 1995-96 class:
Scott Hardin, Davenport, Wash.; Rebecka Pfaff, Farmington, Wash.; Deborah Salancy, Kennewick; Megan Undeberg, Lind, Wash.; Lisa Stiens, Moses Lake; Kimberly Bernard, Pasco; Jennifer McDonnell and Dolan Olson, both of Pullman; Tessa Schwartz, Reardan, Wash.; Gretchen Mohr and Heidi Stenner, both of Richland; and Marne Hagen, Tammy Killingsworth, Rebecca Ryan and John Traxler, all of Spokane.
President Jeanne Williams was recently chosen as Gamma Epsilon’s Woman of the Year at a Founder’s Day luncheon. She also competed for Washington State Woman of the Year at the state convention in Moses Lake.
Washington State University recently compiled and released the results of the 46th American High School Mathematics Examination, an annual competition that attracted 10,000 participants statewide this year.
Robert Dirks, a Lewis and Clark High School junior, placed third in the state and first among Eastern Washington students. Joshua Comfort, Gonzaga Preparatory School, and Austin Dickey, Central Valley High School, were also among the top 50 state finishers placing 19th and 25th, respectively. Among the 126 schools participating in team scoring, LC finished in eighth place and Central Valley High School, 20th.
Donita Skinner has been named to Franklin Templeton Distributor’s 1994 Kite and Key Club. The honor recognizes the exemplary service of retail investment representatives who placed more than $1 million in special sales during the year. Skinner, employed with Spokane’s D.A. Davidson & Co., was among the top 3 percent of representatives worldwide who sold products in 1994.
Bill Irwin has been named a 1994 Star Performer by Norwest Financial. He was honored for consistent performance in the areas of business development, customer service and meeting company goals. He is the manager of the Valley office.
Jerome Hood has been honored as the Zone IX Sales Leader of the Quarter for GEICO Casualty Co., an affiliate of Government Employees Insurance Co. He had the highest sales volume among representatives in the five-state zone in which he operates.
