Compiled From Wire Services

Paul Justin threw two of his three touchdown passes to Bobby Olive, leading the Frankfurt Galaxy to a 26-22 victory over the Amsterdam Admirals in the third WLAF World Bowl at Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Galaxy led 26-7 when Mathaniel Bolton scored on a 30-yard run in the final period.

But two TDs from Admirals running back T.C. Wright, on a 1-yard run and a 9-yard pass from former Pullman High School quarterback Will Furrer followed by a 2-point conversion from Furrer to Sanjay Beach, got the Admirals back in the game 26-22.

Furrer hit Ernie Jones with a 5-yard TD pass to open the scoring in the second quarter.

At Durban, South Africa, flyhalf Joel Stransky made all three second-half penalties and led South Africa to a 19-15 victory over France in a rain-drenched Rugby World Cup semifinal. The victory put South Africa into the championship match against the winner of today’s game between England and New Zealand.
