Margaret Peterson Spokane
Margaret Peterson, a resident of Academy Retirement Community, is 100 years old today. A luncheon was held Friday in her honor.
Born June 18, 1895, in Missoula, she has been an Inland Northwest resident all her life.
Mrs. Peterson married in 1914 and has one son, Maj. Gen. H.E. Humfeld, Fort Worth, Texas. She also has two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She worked for three generations of the Peters family at Peters and Sons Florist. She moved to Ephrata, Wash., and started Humfield Flowers. She retired in 1977 and returned to Spokane.
She continues to be active and goes dancing every Saturday night at the Sinto Senior Center.
