Naked Teen Jailed After Break-In

A naked teenager with cuts on his body was arrested Saturday for investigation of second-degree burglary at a South Hill restaurant.

Officers spotted the 17-year-old boy across the street from Lindaman’s restaurant, 1235 S. Grand Blvd., about 3:30 a.m. He was naked and had several cuts on his body, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

The glass in the restaurant’s front door was broken out, materials in the office were scattered on the floor and there appeared to be blood on a computer, Cottam said.

The teen, a part-time employee at the restaurant, was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment of the wounds and then booked into the juvenile detention center.

He told police he remembered only running through the front door of the building, Cottam said.

It could not be determined why the teen was undressed.
