Seattle To Try 4-Man Rotation
Even though Bob Wolcott has won both his starts with the Tacoma Rainiers, it appears as if he will be staying there awhile. Instead of recalling Wolcott or another pitcher to start Tuesday in Chicago, the Mariners have decided to give everyone one less day of rest and try a four-man rotation. At least for next week that is.

Edgar Martinez’s current .352 average has moved him ahead of Ken Griffey Jr. as the Mariners’ career leader. Martinez had 744 hits in 2,431 at bats for a .306 average entering Saturday’s game. Griffey (.304) and Phil Bradley (.301) are the only other Mariners to hit over .300 in their time with Seattle… .
