Man Caught Running From Stolen Truck

A 19-year-old Spokane man was arrested early Saturday after police chased him on foot near Shaw Middle School.

John Sumner, 728 E. Providence, was charged with attempting to elude police and possession of stolen property, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Police said they were chasing Sumner, who was driving a stolen Ford pickup, when he abandoned it to run east on Longfellow.

Sumner was also cited for driving with a suspended license. , DataTimes
