Ramona Reed Spokane

No service will be held for Ramona Merle (Abel) Morrison Reed, at her request. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Reed, 84, died Friday at Regency Care Center.

She was born in Morning Sun, Iowa.

She had lived in Spokane for more than 60 years and had worked for Singer Sewing Co., for 37 years. She retired in 1972.

She is survived by one brother, Miles Abel of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one stepson, Harry Reed of St. Maries; one stepdaughter, Elaine Pierce of Monroe, Wash., and numerous stepgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Maxine Cockburn Spokane

Graveside service for Maxine H. Cockburn, 68, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hazen Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cockburn died Friday.

She was a lifetime Spokane resident and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Colin; two daughters, Sandra Barchard of California, and Cheryl Drury of Seattle, and four grandchildren.

Clyde Krick Deer Park

Service for Clyde Edward Krick, 92, will be at 11 a.m. today at Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Deer Park.

Mr. Krick died Wednesday at his ranch.

Born in Clayton, Wash., he was a longtime Deer Park resident, and had worked as a logger, rancher and for the Department of Natural Resources.

He was a member of Garden Spot Grange.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Florence; two daughters, Patsy Kinyon of Port Orchard, Wash., and Carolyn Scheer of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one sister, Iva Schmidt of Deer Park, and three grandsons.

Dale Salsbury Post Falls

Service for Dale Richard Salsbury, 55, will be held at 11 a.m. June 20 at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Post Falls.

Mr. Salsbury, who was born in Montana, died Thursday.

He moved to Post Falls 40 years ago from Montana. He was a machinist at the Kaiser Aluminum’s Trentwood plant until his retirement three years ago due to health problems.

Survivors include his wife, Maralyn; one daughter, Evette Salsbury Felisbino of Brazil; one brother, Roger Salsbury of Hayden Lake; and one sister, Raynay Schaffer Salsbury of Hayden Lake.

Joanne Tharp Coeur d’Alene

No service is planned for Joanne E. Tharp, 60, who died Thursday. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tharp was born in Rockford, Ill., and moved to North Idaho in 1971.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Tharp; one son, Glen Garrison of Spokane; three daughters, Mary Osborn of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy Garrison of Bonners Ferry, and Nadine Roth of Switzerland; one brother, Andrew Olson of Hermiston, Ore.; one sister, Marilyn Pearson of Ventura, Calif; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean McCartney Spokane

Service for Jean E. McCartney, 89, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Born in Treherne, Manitoba, Mrs. McCartney, died Friday.

A homemaker, she had lived in Spokane for more than 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia McCartney of Spokane; one sister, Alva Ripley of Boise; eight grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
