News of river flooding in Northwestern Montana and delays in opening Going-to-the-Sun Highway have dramatically curbed bookings at Glacier National Park facilities, officials say.

That means there couldn’t be a better time to visit Glacier Country.

“Wildlife viewing is at its peak, wildflowers are blooming, crowds are nil and even the Going-to-the-Sun Highway should be open by (today),” said Steve Snyders, spokesman for the Glacier Country tourism association. For Glacier Park info, call (406) 888-5441.
