Today Is Last Day For Home Show

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane’s annual Showcase of Homes ends today, with all 19 residences open from noon to 6 p.m.

Saturday night, the Spokane Home Builders Association announced the winners of this year’s juried awards.

In the $125,000-and-under division, Sunny Creek Residential Community’s manufactured home swept every category, including master bedroom suite, craftsmanship, exterior appeal, furnishings, architectural design, kitchen, interior design and judges’ choice.

Among homes priced from $125,001 to $175,000, Dean Housley Homes took every award.

In the $175,001-to-$225,000 division, George Paras’ Brookfield won everything but the bedroomsuite award, which went to Monark Construction of Medical Lake.

Among homes costing $225,001 to $300,000, Parkland Homes’ Millcreek earned top honors.

In the $300,001-to-$500,000 category, Lori Gray captured best bedroom suite, craftsmanship, furnishings, kitchen, interior design and judges’ choice. Mike Murphy’s Fescue took top honors for exterior appeal and architectural design.

And in the $500,001-and-up division, Barcellos Construction - the only entry - swept all eight awards.
