Man Arrested After Cops Find Marijuana

From Staff And Wire Reports

Bonner County authorities arrested a wanted Oregon man Wednesday and filed drug charges against him after finding two pounds of marijuana in his van.

James L. Want of Multnomah County, Ore., was arrested outside a bar in Clark Fork. Deputies approached him after Oregon authorities said he skipped out on a $95,000 bond and was in the area.

Deputies stopped Want as he came out of the bar and tried to leave in his van. After a drug dog went through the van, deputies found a cooler in the rear full of marijuana.

Want’s home on Lower Pack River Road also was searched and a small amount of drugs were found. Want is in the Bonner County Jail and faces local drug charges.

He was wanted in Oregon for driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance.
