Jantz Heading To State Tourney

Jantsch High School, winners last weekend of the Eastern Regional Alternative School boys basketball tournament, will compete in the State tourney in Sunnyside this weekend.

Coached by Gary Allen, Jantsch defeated Wapato in Sunnyside in the regionals at Ferris High School. The Jaguars (15-1) will open the double-elimination state tournament against Sunnyside Friday night at 8 p.m.

Wrestling

Mead’s Erin Vandagriff signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Wyoming. Vandagriff wrestled in the 168-pound division for Mead High.
