Talent Grant Award Winners Announced
Holy Names Music Center at Fort Wright announced the results of its first annual Talent Grant Awards for music students with “outstanding musical competence, artistic sensibility and promise.” Strings category: Vladimir Grishin and Emily Chong, both violinists and students of Garnik Goukasian.
Piano category: Carson Keeble, pianist, student of Linda Siverts.
Vocal category: Keri Buchanan, student of Susan Windham.
Each student received a $250 Talent Grant Tuition Award for continuing study at the music center.
Nicole Mackey represented Lind, Wash., at the Washington State Junior Miss scholarship competition last month at Washington State University.
Danelle Crabtree has been named Instructor of the Year at Phillips Junior College. She has been an instructor and medical department chair for two years. She will compete nationally for Instructor of the Year for Phillips Colleges, Inc., and for the Honor Roll of Distinguished Faculty.
