Mr. And Mrs. Mertens Spokane

Patrick A. and M. Allene (Meyers) Mertens, Spokane, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a Mass and reception at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Hosts for the reception will be their children and spouses: Diana and Larry Sanderson, Spokane; Jeanette and Daniel Doyle, Beaverton, Ore.; Michael Mertens, Lacey, Wash.; and Dennis and Sharilyn Mertens, Tumwater, Wash.

Married March 27, 1945, in Spokane, the Mertens have 11 grandchildren.
