County Libraries To Celebrate
Spokane County libraries will host a string of events April 9-15 to celebrate National Library Week.
The theme this year is “Libraries Change Lives.” Throughout the week, children and adults in the community will be encouraged to tell how important libraries are in their lives.
Children at least 5 years old may “Take a Trip to Troll Country” at various times at each of the county’s nine libraries. Stories and crafts featuring the popular character from Norwegian folklore will highlight the free program.
Adults will have a chance to discover the “Gold in Your Attic,” as Bob Clark of Arthur B. Clark Co. discusses old books and their values. The program will be offered at the North Spokane Library on April 10, the Valley Library on April 11 and the Cheney Community Library on April 20.
All programs begin at 7 p.m. For more information on National Library Week, call 924-4122.
