Cda Soccer Team Romps

Coeur d’Alene’s Brett Fink sliced and diced his way through the Bonners Ferry defense as he finished with four goals and an assist in CdA’s 10-2 non-league soccer win on the road Tuesday.

Teammate Darren Baune scored two goals and had an assist as well.

Softball

Visiting St. Maries whipped Potlatch, 24-9, in a non-league game.

St. Maries pitcher Brianne Badget had a five-hit, three-strikeout performance in moving her record to 9-1 on the season.

St. Maries jumped out to a 14-1 lead after three innings. Potlatch scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Postponements

Rain Tuesday forced postponement of several events in North Idaho.

In baseball, the Lake City at Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry at Lakeland, Lakeside at Moscow JV and Wallace at St. Maries games were postponed.

The Lake City-Sandpoint doubleheader will be made up today, Bonners Ferry-Lakeland is tentatively scheduled for Friday and Wallace-St. Maries will be made up May 11. All games begin at 4 p.m.

In softball, Lake City at Sandpoint, Post Falls at Coeur d’Alene, Bonners Ferry at Lakeland and Lewiston freshmen at Lakeside were rained out.

The Lake City-Sandpoint doubleheader will be made up today at 3. The Post Falls-CdA doubleheader will be made up with single games next Monday and Wednesday and the BF-Lakeland matchup is tentatively scheduled for Friday.
