U.S. Marine Killed In Training Exercise

A ricocheting bullet hit a Marine in the face and killed him during a training exercise, the Marine Corps said Thursday.

The Marine was identified only as a member of the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton.

The Marine was participating in the live-fire exercise Wednesday night when a .50-caliber round ricocheted and struck him.
