Lockdown Follows Prison Melee

From Staff And Wire Reports

Prison guards locked down inmates at the Clallam Bay Corrections Center after fights involving 13 inmates broke out in two medium-security units.

No one was seriously hurt in the Sunday night disturbance, although some inmates suffered bruises and scrapes, bloody noses or swollen eyes, prison spokeswoman Patricia Woolcock said.

Officers separated the inmates involved and placed the prison’s medium-security units on lockdown.
