Sandpoint Software Lands Big Contract

From Staff And Wire Reports

Sandpoint Software Inc. said Tuesday that it has signed a contract to customize tax programs for Union Pacific Resources out of Fort Worth, Texas.

Sandpoint Software will design a system for Union Pacific to keep track of the nearly 30,000 1099 tax forms it sends yearly, said Steven Olson, president of the small, threeemployee company.

Olson’s company sells 1099-PC, a program that helps companies keep track of the forms. Olson has worked with corporate giants such as Citibank and works with state governments and other large entities, he said.

The Union Pacific contract marks a step forward toward expanding Olson’s customizing business, which he expects to grow by about 50 percent this year.

Sandpoint Software will target companies needing help with W-2 payroll forms next, Olson said.
