Seventh Suspect Arrested In Killing

Police earlier this week arrested a seventh suspect in connection with the killing of a man whose body was found near Eloika Lake this month.

Debra Monroe, 33, was arrested Wednesday as she was leaving a residence in the 3700 block of East First, police said Thursday.

She was booked on five warrants of drug and weapons violations.

The body of Richard P. Morley, 30, was found near the Pend Oreille County lake on May 5.

Monroe was one of several people wanted for questioning in connection with the murder.

A man and a woman arrested earlier have confessed to the kidnapping and killing.

A dispute apparently arose over a debt Morley owed one of the suspects, court documents say.
