Do Some Good By Running In Circles
Do you sometimes feel as though you spend a lot of time running around in circles but never accomplish anything?
Then the American Cancer Society has an event that should suit you well. Best of all, your efforts won’t be in vain.
Teams are being formed for Spokane’s Relay for Life, to be held June 2-3 on the track at Spokane Falls Community College. Teams of 12-15 people of all ages will walk or run in a relay lasting 24 hours.
In the meantime, they’ll raise money and awareness for cancer education, research and patient services.
A special opening ceremony is planned for 7 p.m. June 2. The track will be filled with cancer survivors taking a victory lap.
A goal of 1,000 survivors has been set.
If you are interested in taking part in this event, contact the American Cancer Society at 326-5802.
