Top-seeded Meredith McGrath and Larisa Neiland came back from a 3-1 deficit in the second set to win the World Doubles Cup clay court tennis tournament with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Manon Bollegraf and Rennae Stubbs in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Stefan Edberg beat overmatched Karseten Braasch 7-5, 6-3 to lead Sweden to the Red Group title with a 2-1 victory over Germany at Duesseldorf, Germany, putting his country into the final of the World Team Cup against Croatia.

Australia kept the United States winless with a sweep in their Blue Group match.
