No License Needed!
Fishing
Idaho and Washington are among 45 states offering free fishing days in June to celebrate National Fishing Week.
No state fishing license will be required to catch inland fish such as trout, bass, panfish and kokanee in Idaho on June 10. Washington will double the pleasure by offering a free fishing weekend June 10-11.
All other regulations such as catch limits and gear restrictions will apply.
The American Sportfishing Association calculates that anglers annually spend $163 million in Idaho and $983 million in Washington.
Many local groups throughout the Inland Northwest are offering fishing derbies or clinics during National Fishing Week. For info, call Forest Service Information Center in Spokane, 353-2574.
