For the second time this month, Sergio Reyes, one of the world’s top-ranked bantamweight boxers, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend.
Reyes, the IBF’s No. 1 contender in the 118-pound class, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of assault with bodily injury after witnesses reported he had assaulted 18-year-old Erika Patino.
Reyes was released from the Tarrant County Jail after posting $1,000 bond.
