Air Pollution Reports

A total of 23 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between Oct. 21 and Oct. 29.

The most common complaint, smoke from a solid fuel burning device such as a wood stove or fireplace, was reported seven times.

Oct. 21

Smoke in the air was reported in Deer Park area at 4:50 p.m.

Oct. 22

Smoke in the air was reported at 4411 S. Myrtle at 1 p.m.

Smoke in the air was reported at Upper Gleneden at 7:13 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device (such as a wood stove or fireplace) was reported at 8244 N. Weipert at 8 a.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 1923 W. Shannon at 9:20 a.m.

Oct. 23

Open fire was reported at 17633 S. Lois Drive Cheney at 1:20 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 3517 W. 6th or 3427 W. 5th at 4:05 p.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 1923 W. Shannon at 7:02 a.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 9325 N. Riverside Park Drive at 12:55 p.m.

Oct. 24

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 7924 E. Indiana at 2:20 p.m.

Oct. 25

Smoke and odor from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 6920 N. Fleming at 2:40 p.m.

Odor of compost was reported at Colbert Compost Facility at 9:50 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 15626 E. Scribner Road at 11:05 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 920 S. Grove Road at 12:30 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at El Rancho Motel, 3000 W. Sunset Blvd. at 12:40 p.m.

Oct. 26

Painting without a booth was reported at 1415 E. Central at 7:30 p.m.

Open fire was reported at 17000 North block of Triple Butte Circle at 12:15 p.m.

Oct. 27

Open fire was reported at 9811 S. Marshall, Marshall at 1:10 p.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 9000 block of East Nora at 8:30 a.m.

Smoke from a solid fuel burning device was reported at 4424 E. 6th at 10:55 a.m.

Oct. 28

Visible emissions was reported at Wilson School at 7:05 p.m.

Oct. 29

Odor of compost was reported at Ecocycle, 3505 N. Lyons Road at 9:50 p.m.
