Little Spokane Council Meets

The Little Spokane River Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nine Mile Falls fire station, immediately west of the Nine Mile bridge, to map out its future.

The volunteer group recently received a state grant for education and restoration but never formalized its relationship with the state Parks and Recreation Commission. Members need to decide if they want to be an advisory group to the state parks agency or to structure themselves as an independent advocacy group, such as Friends of the Centennial Trial.

The pros and cons of each option will be discussed at the meeting.
