Gsl At A Glance

G-Prep 21, Rogers 0

Key play

After a scoreless first half, Prep kicked off to open the second half but Rogers failed to cover Dave Rucker’s kick and Joe Sacco recovered for the Bullpups at the Pirates’ 17.

Stars of the game

Prep sophomore quarterback Kevin O’Connell kept the ball four times after Sacco’s recovery and scored on a 4-yard run. Senior linebacker Charlie Kinney sparked the defense.

Notable

Prep only had one first down and 23 yards of offense in the first half and that included a 28-yard run by O’Connell … The Pirates went right after Prep, running off 31 plays in the first half to 14 for the Bullpups. However, after the demoralizing kickoff to open the second half, the Pirates made just one first down.
