Tree Top Acquires Dried-Apple Processor

Tree Top Inc. has bought a Sunnyside dried-apple processor as part of its plan to expand production of dried fruits that are used in a rising number of prepared foods, the company said.

The Selah-based cooperative bought the Sun Ridge plant, which employs about 70 to 80 workers, said Pat Moss, Tree Top spokeswoman.

Details were still being worked out because the purchase “came up rather quickly,” Moss said.
