Crown Resources Reports Small Loss
Denver-based Crown Resources Corp. Friday reported reported a small loss for the third quarter compared with a small gain in third quarter 1994.
Crown Resources lost $358,000, or 3 cents a share, compared with a profit of $133,000, or 1 cent a share, for the same period last year. The 1994 results included a gain of $623,000 form the sale of some securities.
For the first nine months of the year, Crown lost $1.1 million, or 8 cents a share, compared with a loss of $3.8 million, or 29 cents a share for the same period of 1994.
Crown had an increase in royalty fees from the Kettle River mine in Washington state, which was offset by the end of mining at the Kendall mine in Montana, where Crown also has a royalty stake.
