Maloney Top Volunteer
Fred Maloney of Rockford Bay has been named the Idaho Panhandle’s hunter education instructor of the year.
In addition to conducting classes for young archers, Maloney has volunteered his time to recruit, train and coordinate the activities for all the region’s archery instructors, said Phil Cooper, Idaho Fish and Game Department spokesman in Coeur d’Alene.
“Fred is truly an example of someone who is willing to give of himself to benefit wildlife, hunting and other people,” Cooper said.
Maloney also is a Fish and Game reservist who donates even more time to staff check-stations and perform important services.
